Kailali Multiple Campus
Development History
Three decades age, there was not any instutions of higher education in
kaillali district. The nonexistence of higher educational opportunities after
SLC created an urgent social demand for the establishment of a campus in the
district. Prior to the Kaillali Multiple Campus, most of the students of
this region had to depart to Kathmandu
or India for further studies after passing the SLC. The people fo kailali,
thus, took initiation for the establishment of a Campus. Counsequently, kailali
Commerce campus (later renamed as kailali multiple Campus) was Established in
2038 B.S. Financial and other resources
required for the establishment of the campus were raised from the efforts and
sacrifice of local people. Initially, KMC was run in panchodaya School and
there were less than 100 Students. In 2040 BS, KMC was shifted to its presant
premises. At presanr, KMC has become one of the largest and poioneering
community-based educational intitutions of Nepal.
KMC is located in a picturesque and peaceful surrounding in the estern
part of Dhangadhi Municipally. The KMC Campus is an autonomos and
non-for-profit organizational established solely for the purpose of providing
higher education. It is affiliated to Tribhuwan University. Due to qualitive
education, adequate physical infrastructure, affordable fees and conventient
location, KMC has been the center of excellence in higher education in the
for-western Region.In 2046 BS, KMc was declared the best private campus of
Nepal by Tribhuwan University and was awarded a cash prize of 145 thuossand
rupees. Many students of this campus
have received Gold Medals for their excellent Academic performance in
examination conducted by Tribhuwan University. At presant, there are more than
8000 students (including +2 programme) Studying in the campus. Since, its
inception, KMC has prepared thousands of students who are serving several
aspects of life.
Historical Achievement: QAA
certification
In the last 3 decades of its history, KMC has set several landmarks in
educational history of fee western Region. The selection of KMC at national
level by the university Grants Commission for granting the international
accreditation is the latest example of its success. Based on its historical
perfoammance, this campus was selected in 2065 by the university Grants
Commission (UGC) through a national compete Gin for the participation in the
Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) process.
For the purpose of obtaining QAA, had prepared self-Study Report (SSR)
and submitted to UGC for assessment.
After several monitoring and evaluation visits, on 3rd to 7th
falgun of 2069 Bs, a high level Peer Review Team (PRT) visited the campus
report, UGC decided to accredit KMC. On jesth 29, 2069, UGC held an Institution
Accreditation Award Ceremony and awarded
the QAA, Certifiate to KMC.

mission of KMC is to provide access to higher education for the people of the
for west and the country with emphasis to janajatis, Dalits, women and other
marginalized sections. With a view to
its aim of evolving the campus into a
university, the campus aspires to be an accredited institution of higher
education, through focused efforts on development of human resources, quality
education physical infrastructure and programme
extension activities.
Goals :- In order to achieve the vision and mission,
the campus will strive to achieve some specific strategic goals i.e
(i) programme extension in line with the educational demands of far
western region,
(ii) continued efforts toward quality educational and all round
development of the students,
(iii) Strengthen infrastructure base and human resource for upgrading the
campus into a university,
(iv) maintainning its
accreditation status,
(v) Improving internal efficiency,
(vi) achieving sustainability by expanding the financial resources base
and,
(vii) as a socially responsible educational institution, maintaining good relation with
the community.
Way Forward
The campus is effortful to
maintion its historical creditability and quality of education in future too by
perfoming different development activities such as (i) obtaining autonomy in
designing curriculum, conducting examination and evaluting students
performance, (ii) launching science and information technology related
programmes and professional courses at the Bachelors and masters level such as
BBA, MBA, MBM, MSc(Ag), staff Nursing etc. and (iii) creating national and
international linkage for increasing the students exposure faculty development
and maintainning the financial base.

Infrastructures, Learning Resources and
Information System
The physical Infrastructures of
the campus is expanded into 27 Bighas of
land with different buildings, canteen, Science lab, Computer lab,
Geography lab, Health and Sport center, hostel (under construction), deep tube-well for clean
drinking water and 35KV generation for regular power supply. The college has
library with more the 30000 books and
other reading materis.
KMC has established a Research Management Cell (RMC) for conducting
research activities. RMC calls for research proposal for doing mini-research
projects, conducts research oriented workshop and seminars and invites guest
lecturer. Similarly, the college has established a public information cell. The
cell publishes KMC bulletin which contains the information relating to the
academics activities administrative and financial information of the college.
Scholarship and Medals
The campus provides scholarship to meritorious and deserving students.

scoring girl student of the campus.
Extra-curricular Activities
The campus organize different extra-curricular
activities for the all round development of the students. Different
extra-curricular activities are also conducted by the free students Union and other
students associations like CELTS, Students Literary Association, Tharu Students
Association, MASS-KMC etc. Similarly, many recreational and leisure time
facilities such as outdoor game facilities (volley ball, foot ball, basket
ball, table tennis, badminton, crickets, kapardi etc), reading facilities
(books, magazines, newspapers, etc) and facilities of using computer and
internet are available to students in the college.

Commercement of B.Sc. Programme

After the successful running of
Science stream under +2 programme of KMC, 4 years Bachelor in Science Programme
(B.Sc.) has been launched from 2070 BS. Initially, following two group are
offered:
Physical
Group: Physical,
Chemistry and Mathematics.
Bio-group: Botany, Zoogogy and Chemistry.

Bachelor in Business
Administration is long-left professional academic program introduced by the
Faculty of management, TU in the year 2070. Keeping apart the traditional and
conventional methods of teaching-learning, the program aims at producing bachelor
level graduate of international standards in management education with applied
and programmatic philosophies of acquiring knowledge. Above all, the program is
directed to prepare the people to face of successfully in the field of
expanding and challenging knowledge economy. KMC feels proud to introduce the
newly launched program to teach students the skill necessary to perform
leadership roles in the business and corporate world.
Eligibility:
Students
desiring to get admission for BBM program in this campus must have:

Passed
+2, PCL, Intermediate or other equivalent level from TU or other board,
institution or university recognized by TU.
·
Secured
at least second division makes in aggregate.
·
Studied
English as a full paper of at least 100 marks.
·
Secured
sufficient marks in CMAT exam & in personal interview.
Admission Procedure:
Students
applying for the BBM program must fill in the application blank with all
details of their information and past academic records. The selection of
students shall be based on a three-stage screening process that includes
written test, individual presentation and personal interview. Written test
(CMAT) will be conducted by faculty of management, TU. To test the basis ability of the students in
verbal ability and quantitative ability and KMC shall conduct the individual
presentation and interview for selecting suitable candidates.
Curricular Structure:
The
BBM program is based on semester system. It is a 4 years program spread
oversight semesters, each semesters constitute of 16 weeks of intensive study.
The program covers 120 credit hours. The curricular structure has business tool
courses, Business foundation courses, focus area course and elective area
courses.
Further information:

Uniform
and ID cards compulsory. Mobile & any perceiving instruments are strictly
prohibited within the college premises.

Students
failing to attend 80% of classes shall not be allowed to appear in the
semesters-end examinations.
·
The
performance of Students will be evaluated through ongoing in-semester
evaluations by KMC and semester-end examinations by form, TU.
·
All

KMC +2 Programme

Since
last 17 year KMC, is running Higher Secondary (+2) Programme in four streams
i.e. Management, Humanities, Education and Science. Due to affordable fees and
quality education, the number of student in the higher secondary programme is
increasing every year. Students present more than 2300 students are studying in
+2 Level. KMC, offers the following

+2 Programme, KMC provides scholarship to meritorious and deserving students,
student belonging to freed Kamaiya families, disabled students, Dalits and
Janajati Students, class topper students and outstanding players as per the
rule of the Campus. The student securing 80% or above 80% marks in SLC gets
100% scholarship and securing above 75% but less than 80% marks received 50%
scholarship.
Important Information
ü Uniform is compulsory. Mobile and any
music perceiving instruments are prohibited within the college premises.
ü The students of Class xi should fill up the
Registration form by 31st Bhadra.
ü All the students of class xi and xii
should fill up the Final Examination from by 15th magh.
